7 Days Primate and Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will meet your safari guide and begin a scenic drive southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. En route, admire Uganda’s rolling hills, local villages, and lush landscapes. Stop for lunch along the way and capture memorable photos.
Upon arrival in Bwindi, check into your lodge, enjoy dinner, and rest in preparation for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
After an early breakfast, proceed to the Bwindi park headquarters for a ranger briefing. You will be allocated a gorilla family to track in the dense rainforest.
The trek can last 2–6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once you locate them, enjoy one hour observing and photographing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Return to your lodge in the afternoon to relax or take part in a cultural Batwa community visit to learn about traditional forest life.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha
After breakfast, depart Bwindi and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, stopping in the Ishasha sector for a game drive known for tree-climbing lions.
Continue to your lodge in Queen Elizabeth for check-in and dinner. Enjoy an evening of relaxation while taking in the scenic views of the park.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
Begin the day with a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, spotting elephants, buffalo, leopards, and other wildlife.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a perfect opportunity to view hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, drive north to Kibale Forest National Park, Uganda’s top destination for chimpanzee trekking. Along the way, enjoy scenic landscapes and stop for lunch.
Arrive at your lodge in Kibale, check-in, and relax. Optionally, you can explore the nearby villages or participate in a guided nature walk.
Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale
After breakfast, head to Kibale Forest headquarters for a ranger briefing. Trek through the lush forest in search of chimpanzees, a journey that typically lasts 2–5 hours.
During the trek, you will also see monkeys, duikers, birds, and other forest wildlife. Spend one hour observing chimpanzees, then return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Optionally, enjoy a community visit or short nature walk in the afternoon.
Day 7: Return to Entebbe – Departure
After breakfast, depart Kibale and drive back to Entebbe, stopping along the way for scenic views, photos, and lunch. Arrive at Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight, concluding your 7-day Uganda safari filled with unforgettable primate encounters and wildlife experiences.
