Day 1: Arrival in Kilimanjaro – Transfer to Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you are warmly welcomed and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Nestled at the foot of Mount Meru, Arusha is the safari gateway to northern Tanzania. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax after your flight and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive baobab trees and large elephant herds. The park’s river attracts wildlife year-round, making for rewarding game viewing. Expect to see giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lions, and diverse birdlife during your afternoon game drive.
Day 3: Lake Manyara & Transfer to Karatu
Today you explore Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic gem known for its lush groundwater forest, flamingo-lined lake shores, and tree-climbing lions. The compact park offers diverse ecosystems in a small area. Later, continue to the cool highlands of Karatu near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Day 8: Flight to Ruaha National Park
Today you fly from Arusha to Ruaha National Park via Dar es Salaam. Ruaha is Tanzania’s largest national park and one of its wildest, known for dramatic baobab landscapes and excellent predator sightings. An afternoon game drive introduces you to this remote wilderness.
Day 9: Exploring Ruaha
A full day in Ruaha offers exceptional game viewing with very few vehicles. The park is famous for large lion prides, elephants, kudu, and diverse antelope species. The rugged scenery and Great Ruaha River create a stunning safari backdrop.
Day 10: Flight to Nyerere National Park (Selous)
This morning you take a light aircraft flight from Ruaha to Nyerere National Park, formerly Selous Game Reserve. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon boat safari along the Rufiji River, where hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife thrive.
Day 11: Nyerere Safari Experience
Explore Nyerere with morning game drives or a guided walking safari for a closer connection to nature. The park’s mix of rivers, lakes, and open plains supports elephants, wild dogs, giraffes, and lions in a less-crowded setting.
Day 12: Flight to Rwanda

Day 13: Kigali City Tour & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
