14-Day Primate & Great Migration Adventure
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where our guide will welcome you. Transfer to your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala for overnight. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a short city tour or relax by the shores of Lake Victoria, preparing for your upcoming safari adventure.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, drive to Kibale National Park, famous for its chimpanzee population. Enjoy scenic views of rolling hills, tea plantations, and local villages along the way. Check into your lodge and spend the evening resting for the next day’s trekking.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale
Embark on a guided chimpanzee trekking adventure in Kibale Forest. Spot chimps interacting in their natural habitat and enjoy the rich biodiversity of this tropical rainforest. In the afternoon, explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary on a guided nature walk. Overnight in Kibale.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s diverse wildlife haven. Check into your lodge before enjoying a late afternoon game drive, spotting elephants, lions, buffalo, and hippos along the Kazinga Channel. Overnight in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 5: Game Drives & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Begin the day with an early morning game drive to spot predators and plains game. After lunch, embark on a scenic boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, witnessing large hippo pods, crocodiles, and diverse bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the endangered mountain gorillas. The drive offers beautiful landscapes and opportunities to interact with local communities. Check into your lodge and relax before the gorilla trekking experience tomorrow.
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
The day begins early with gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest. Guided by expert trackers, hike through dense forest to find a habituated gorilla family. Spend up to one hour observing these magnificent creatures, taking photos, and learning about conservation efforts. Return to the lodge for overnight.
Day 8: Relaxation & Community Visit
After an intense trekking day, enjoy a relaxing morning at your lodge or a cultural visit to a nearby Batwa village. Learn about the traditions of local communities and their connection to the forest. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Bwindi.
Day 9: Transfer to Tanzania – Ngorongoro Area
Cross into Tanzania and head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Check into your lodge, enjoying stunning views of the crater and surrounding highlands. Relax and prepare for the wildlife adventure ahead. Overnight in Ngorongoro.
Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and rhinos in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before returning to your lodge in the evening.
Day 11: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Drive to the Serengeti National Park, the heart of the Great Migration. Witness the endless plains teeming with zebras, wildebeest, and predators. Check into your lodge or mobile camp and enjoy your first afternoon game drive. Overnight in Serengeti.
Day 12: Full Day Serengeti Game Drives
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti, tracking the movement of the migrating herds if in season. Capture breathtaking wildlife photography and observe lions, cheetahs, and hyenas in their natural habitat. Overnight in the Serengeti.
Day 13: Serengeti to Maasai Mara (Optional Cross-Border Adventure)
(Optional) Cross into Kenya’s Maasai Mara to witness the continuation of the Great Migration. Enjoy an afternoon game drive among the Mara’s iconic wildlife. Overnight at a lodge or luxury tented camp.
Day 14: Departure via Nairobi
After breakfast, transfer to Nairobi for your flight home. Depending on your schedule, enjoy a brief city tour or souvenir shopping. Reflect on the incredible memories of gorillas, chimps, and the awe-inspiring Great Migration across East Africa.
